“From a drivers perspective I found the Ascari a very user friendly GT car. The BMW engine has sufficient power and smooth torque delivery, the sequential gearchange, with the gearcut and auto-blip worked well, and the car handles really nicely. It has good traction out of slow speed corners and remains very well mannered in both medium and high speed curves. And, like all good race cars, it looks beautiful as well.”

The Ascari GT3 made its first showing at a British GT round at Snetterton in July. Although the team was primarily using the event as a test for the FIA series and to support the event titled the ‘Ascari Summer Festival’; the Ascari took the GT3 win in both races.

With a full entry for 2007, Damax has its sights set on the Championship title.
